Read this first: Florida’s minimum wage is rising
Florida’s minimum wage rose to $14 an hour on September 30, 2025, and rises to $15 an hour on September 30, 2026 (Florida Constitution, Article X, Section 24). The federal figures above are from May 2025, before both increases, so medians under $15 will not hold.

Where the numbers come from
- Metro areas: Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent (Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, including Navarre), Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin (Okaloosa and Walton counties, including Miramar Beach and Santa Rosa Beach) and Panama City-Panama City Beach (Bay County).
- Federal figures are hourly medians for these occupations: cashiers (41-2011), stockers and order fillers (53-7065), retail salespersons (41-2031), first-line supervisors of retail sales workers (41-1011), janitors and cleaners (37-2011), and hand packers and packagers (53-7064).
- Alto HR ranges are the posted pay on our open listings in each role family, across all Panhandle locations. They are not a promise of pay for any individual job; each listing shows its own rate.
Using this guide
For employers: seasonal markets pay above the median when demand peaks. If your posted rate sits below the local median, expect slower hiring. For job seekers: pay is shown on every Alto job before you apply.
