Our commitment
Diversity, equity and inclusion
Good work should be open to everyone who wants it. We hire, place and promote people on their skills, their reliability and the needs of the job, and we make the way in as open as we can.
The short version
What you need to know
Open to everyone
Apply from your phone, in English, Spanish or Portuguese, with or without a resume, and never pay a fee.
The same fair process
Every applicant and associate goes through the same steps and the same pay rules. Decisions are based on the job.
Room for everyone to grow
Free Alto Ready training and lead and supervisor roles open to every associate.
Speak up safely
Ask for an accommodation or report a concern at any time. We never retaliate.
What it means at Alto
Alto HR places people in stores, grocery, hospitality and other workplaces in the communities we serve. The people who do that work come from every background: local residents, students, people returning to work or starting a second career, and international program participants. We want every one of them to have the same fair chance.
Diversity
We recruit widely, in three languages and through local communities, so the people we place reflect the communities we serve.
Equity
Everyone gets the same process, the same clear pay information and the same access to training and promotion. Fair means consistent.
Inclusion
Everyone should be able to apply, be heard and do their best work, with the support and adjustments they need.
We do not use quotas or preferences of any kind. Every employment decision is based on qualifications, performance and the needs of the job.

Equal employment opportunity
Alto HR (Alto Etho LLC) is an equal opportunity employer. We make employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions, sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, Florida or local law.
We also do not discriminate based on citizenship status or national origin when we hire people or check their authorization to work, as the Immigration and Nationality Act requires. We use E-Verify only after a job offer and after Form I-9 is complete.
This applies to job applicants, the associates we place with clients and our own staff, at every stage: recruiting and hiring, placement, pay and benefits, training and promotion, discipline, and the end of an assignment or of employment.
Requests from clients
As a staffing company we place associates with client businesses, and our obligations do not change at a client’s site. We place people based on the requirements of the job. We do not accept or act on a client request to choose, assign or remove an associate because of a protected characteristic, and we raise any such request with the client and our management.
Reasonable accommodation
We provide reasonable accommodations for qualified people with disabilities, for known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, and for sincerely held religious beliefs and practices, unless an accommodation would cause undue hardship.
You can ask at any stage: when you apply, at an interview, before an assignment or while you work. Tell your recruiter, email info@altohr.com or call (850) 805-3774. You do not need to use special words. We will talk with you about what would help, and we keep medical information confidential.
Harassment and retaliation
Harassment based on a protected characteristic is a form of discrimination, and we do not tolerate it from staff, associates, clients or anyone else at work.
We never retaliate against anyone who reports discrimination or harassment, asks for an accommodation, files a charge with a government agency or takes part in an investigation, and we do not allow anyone acting for us to do so.
How to raise a concern
Tell your recruiter or our office, or use our misconduct report form, which lets you report anonymously. Management reviews every report and acts on what it finds.
You also have the right to contact a government agency, whether or not you have reported to us. Time limits apply, so contact them promptly.
