A freezer, cooler and deli stocker keeps frozen foods, dairy, refrigerated and deli products stocked, rotated and clean. Much of the work happens in walk-in freezers and coolers, so dressing for the cold matters.
Experienced stockers can move up to freezer and cooler supervisor roles.
Duties and responsibilities
- Stock and rotate frozen, refrigerated and deli products
- Keep assigned sections clean and organized
- Use powered pallet jacks and stocking equipment safely
- Help customers find products
- Meet the store’s stocking goals for each shift
Skills and requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold rooms
- Reliable and on time
- Works well in a team
- Stocking or retail experience helps but is not required
Schedule and shifts
- Early morning, evening or overnight shifts
- Full-time schedules are common
